September 2025
31 Aug 2025
Dear Members and Friends –
Our September message is focused on our upcoming conference. It is not too late to register; we’d love to have you join us. You can register here.
To let you know what we have in store for you, please see the attached draft schedule. The information accessed via the QR code is being updated daily. We wanted to take this time to highlight a few things.
Lodging
If you have yet to reserve your lodging at Heathman, please do so as soon as possible and please let them know you are there for the conference. They have a block of rooms set aside for us.
Crime Prevention Association Awards
Thank you all for submitting nominations for the WSCPA recognition awards. Award nominees have been notified, and awards will be presented the morning of September 18th. We look forward to honoring all our award nominees and award winners.
Raffle items
We will still be doing our raffles at the end of the day on Wednesday and Thursday. As a reminder, for each workshop evaluation you turn in, you get a raffle ticket. Just for being at the conference, you have the opportunity to walk away with a pound of coffee, a bottle of mead, a wine tasting for eight, a Target gift card, and more.
Additionally, we’ve been able to get sports memorabilia from our professional franchises. We’re going to do something a little different with those items. For these, there will be a cash raffle. You have the chance to win one of two signed Seahawks footballs ($150 value each) or a signed Kraken jersey. Without the signature, the jersey itself retails for $180. Raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. This traditional raffle will allow us to offset conference costs. We will have a Square to accept payment or will take your cash.

Wellness
One of the items we’ve tried to focus on at our conferences is wellness and self-care. This year, we are happy to bring you something tangible. We will have a licensed massage therapist, Sierra Kennedy, who will be offering clothed 30-minute table massage sessions throughout the conference.
Sierra usually charges $2 per minute; we are getting her for free. So, if you take advantage of this opportunity, please tip generously. She accepts cash, checks, credit cards, PayPal and Venmo. If you happen to have Spanish Doubloons (the real ones), or Gold-Pressed Latinum, she’ll accept those as well.
Below is the schedule for sessions with Sierra. If you want to lock in a slot ahead of time, please contact her directly at sierrafaye@gmail.com. If not, you can always schedule something at the conference.
